Scintillation Spectrometry in Liquid Medium Laboratory
This laboratory aims at the analysis of not environmental alpha and/or beta emitters tracers, applied to the research. This laboratory includes a spectrometer, QuantulusTM 1220, manufactured by PerkinElmer enterprise, which operates with an extremely low background due to the configuration of its two-detector system that is covered by a lead wall of 200 mm and an electronic anticoincidence circuit. The QuantulusTM reaches ultra-low background levels in virtue of its two types of shields (passive and active).
