Thermo-physical Properties Measurement Laboratory
The Laboratory is intended for the characterization of nuclear fuels and materials in general concerning their thermo-physical properties. Prominent activities: Measurement of thermo-physical properties of nuclear fuels such as UO2, UO2-BeO, U-Mo, UF4-Mg, (U,Gd) O2,UF4 and UZrNb and advanced materials under development in the CDTN, in the area of nanotechnology (nanofluids and carbon nanotubes).
Services offered: Measurement of thermo-physical properties (thermal diffusivity, specific heat and thermal conductivity) of various materials such as nuclear, ceramic materials, powders and liquids.
